Websites that load fast and get found

We build websites that load fast, get found in Google and that you update yourself afterwards without calling us. From one landing page to a multilingual company site with a blog and cases.

From first impression to enquiry

A website is where someone lands who does not know you yet: a visitor who heard your name somewhere, or someone searching Google for what you do. Within one screen it has to be clear what you do, for whom, and how that person reaches you. That runs from one landing page to a multilingual company site with a blog, cases and vacancies.

On a website a visitor reads who you are and why they would get in touch. In a web app a user logs in to manage files, planning or payments. We build both, and which form fits your question we usually know after one conversation.

We set a site like that up statically with Astro, the same technique as the page you are reading now. Astro sends ready-made HTML to the browser. That keeps the load time short and makes the content readable for search engines right away. If your needs later move towards logins, files or payments, we hang a web app behind it without rebuilding the site.

02

Content and design first, then build

We start with the question of who has to land on your site and what that person has to do next. The page structure and a fixed proposal with a price and a date follow from that. The day after the first conversation you know where you stand.

After that you see the design first: the homepage and one inner page at real screen sizes, phone included. Changing a design costs nothing, changing a built site costs money. Only once the picture is right do we start building.

From then on we work in a weekly rhythm. Every week a new version goes up on a test link for you and your colleagues to read along with, while the copy, the photos and the translations slide into place. At launch we set the domain, the email and the redirects from your old addresses right along with it. That way every old link ends up on the right new page.

How we work

From sketch to live website

The structure and the style are settled first. After that you see the website grow every week on a test link.

  1. Week 1

    Visitor & proposal

We settle who has to land on your site, what that person has to do next and which pages that takes. The next working day you get a fixed proposal with a price and a date.

  2. Week 1–2

    Design of the pages

You see the homepage and one inner page at real screen sizes, phone included, before a single line of code is written.

  3. Week 2–4

    Build, copy and languages

Every week a new version goes up on a test link, while the copy, the photos and the translations slide into place.

  4. Week 4–5

    Launch

We set the domain, the email and the redirects from your old addresses right along with it, so old links keep working.

  5. After that

    You take it from here

You update copy, photos and articles yourself in the admin screen. We follow the load times and step in for new pages.

03

A site your team manages itself

For every kind of content we make a fixed page type. A case, vacancy or article gets clear fields for title, text, photo and publication date. That way your team puts new content online without rebuilding the layout every time.

Before launch we go through all the old addresses. Pages that disappear get a redirect, important search results keep their destination and forms are tested until every enquiry arrives in the right place.

After the launch we follow the real signals: which pages visitors read, where forms are abandoned and which addresses still land on an error page. Targeted improvements come out of that, such as a shorter form, a clearer button or an extra landing page for a much-used search term.

FAQ

Questions about websites

What does it cost to have a website made?

That depends on the number of pages, the number of languages and whether the copy and the photos are ready. One landing page sits in a different price range than a multilingual company site with a blog and cases. After a first conversation you get a fixed proposal with price and timing within 24 hours, so you never face surprises.

What is the difference between a website and a web app?

A website is something you read: it explains what you do and moves a visitor to call, email or fill in a form. In a web app you log in and work, with files, planning, payments and users who each have their own permissions. If that second one is what you are after, web apps is the right starting point. We often build them together as well: a site at the front, a web app behind it.

Can I update the copy and the photos myself?

Yes. We agree up front which parts you have to be able to change yourself and put those in a simple admin screen. Adjusting a price, replacing a photo or adding an article is something you then do without us, and without the risk of breaking anything. For structural changes, such as a new kind of page, you call us.

Can my website be multilingual?

Yes. Every language gets its own address, so Google indexes each version separately and your visitor arrives in the right language straight away. Dutch, French and English side by side is the most requested combination in Belgium. You supply the translations themselves and we put them on the site correctly.

What happens to my current website?

It simply keeps running until the new one is ready. At launch we put redirects from your old addresses to the right new pages. That way links in Google, in emails and on other sites keep working. Your existing copy and photos come along wherever they still hold up.
