Mobile apps for iOS and Android, from one codebase

Native apps for iPhone and Android, built from one shared codebase. We take on the whole route, from the first sketch to publication in the App Store and the Play Store.

01

The phone as a real workplace

We build apps with React Native and Expo: one codebase that runs on iPhone and Android as a real native app, with the speed and the feel users expect. Push notifications, camera, GPS, offline use and payments inside the app all belong to it. The app is often the extension of a central platform: your crew fills in work orders on the phone and at the office everything comes together in the dashboard right away.

That single codebase is mostly a financial choice. Every feature is designed once, built once and tested once. Against two separate native apps that quickly saves half the budget, and your users never notice.

Almost every app also needs a back end: a database, accounts and a place where you sit at the controls as the administrator. We build that too, together with a web dashboard where you manage users, content and numbers.

02

Testing on your own device

We start with the design, on real screen sizes. You see and feel the app before a single line of code is written, because changing a sketch costs nothing and changing a built app costs money.

From the first build week the app sits on your own phone, through TestFlight on iPhone and an internal test build on Android. A new version arrives every week, so you and your first users test along while we build.

We take the publication fully off your hands: developer accounts, screenshots, store copy and the review by Apple and Google. We keep shipping updates after launch as well. Small improvements go out over the air and reach your users within the hour.

How we work

From sketch to app in the store

You test on your own phone from the first build week and follow the app all the way into both stores.

  1. Week 1

    Screens & proposal

We settle which screens and device features you need. Within 24 hours you get a fixed proposal for iOS and Android together.

  2. Week 1–2

    Design on real screens

You see and feel the app at iPhone and Android size before a single line of code is written.

  3. Week 2–7

    Build & test along

From the first build week the app sits on your own phone through TestFlight and an internal test build. A new version every week.

  4. Week 8

    Publication

We arrange the developer accounts, screenshots, store copy and the review at Apple and Google.

  5. After that

    Over-the-air updates

After launch we send out small improvements without a waiting period. They reach your users within the hour.

Ready for both app stores

An app in both stores, on developer accounts that are in your name. The code is yours, the user data sits in your database and you can walk to another party with all of it at any moment.

We build in crash monitoring and analytics as standard, so we see problems before your users report them. And through the web dashboard you manage your own content, users and numbers without having to knock on our door.

FAQ

Questions about mobile apps

Do I need separate apps for iPhone and Android?

No. We build one codebase in React Native that runs on both platforms as a real native app. Every feature is built once and works on iPhone and Android right away, which almost halves the budget against two separate apps.

How does my app get into the App Store?

We take care of that. We set up the developer accounts in your name, make the screenshots and the store copy and submit the app to Apple and Google. The review usually takes a few days, and we handle any remarks until the app is approved.

Can I ship updates without waiting for a review every time?

For most changes, yes. Improvements to screens, copy and logic go out over the air and reach your users within the hour. Only big changes, such as new native features, pass the store review again.

What does it cost to have a mobile app built?

That depends on the size: the number of screens, the connections and what is needed at the back end. After a first conversation you get a fixed proposal with price and timing within 24 hours. Thanks to the shared codebase you never pay twice for iOS and Android.
