The challenge
Revactief is a physiotherapy and rehabilitation practice in Niel, with eleven specialisations and around three thousand patients. Exercises went home on a sheet of paper or in the patient's head.
Anyone practising at home had forgotten a week later how the movement was supposed to go. Booking an appointment meant calling the practice. And the products Revactief sells had to be asked for in person.

Our approach
We built a custom mobile app for iOS and Android in which the physiotherapist assigns exercises to a patient. Every exercise sits in a course with video lessons, streamed through Bunny, so the video plays smoothly even on a slow connection. Assigned exercises appear on the home screen straight away.
Appointments live in the same app, with the next one at the top. Products from the shop are reserved with a stock check that happens in a single step, so the same product never goes out twice. The team manages everything through an admin platform, and the app's emails go out in house style through Postmark.

The result
Patients practise at home with their own physiotherapist's video next to them, and their appointments sit in the same app. That is one phone call fewer.
A change to the app reaches every patient's phone the same day, without the detour through the app store. The practice also got a new website, presenting the specialisations and the region.
