01

The challenge

L'Atelier is a beauty salon in Aartselaar with three regular faces and a solid reputation: five out of five across eighty-four reviews, and a Treatwell Top Rated label. The site that came with it was made in an online site builder and hosted on that platform too.

That cost money every month for a site that rarely changes. The code was locked inside the platform, so anyone who wanted to change something had to stay in there.

Our approach

We rebuilt the site as a static website in its own repository, hosted on Vercel. Every treatment is listed with its category and price, from eleven euros for waxing to eighty-two euros for a pedicure with shellac.

Booking goes through Salonized, where the salon already kept its calendar. The contact form is the only piece with a back end: a small function that sends the mail through Resend.

The result

Karo and her team now hold the site themselves, with the code in their own repository. A static site needs no server, so hosting costs are close to zero.

Visitors see the price before they call, and book straight into the calendar the salon was already using.
